We just wanted to take some time to thank you for the outstanding assistance and direction you provided during our recent purchase at Wills Creek, and the sale of our home in Ocean Park.
I was initially going to have 3 real estate salesmen make  presentations on the sale of our house. I was looking for someone who without prompting could provide the right answers on what were the key selling points of our house and neighborhood. Someone who had done comparison shopping of recent similar homes. Someone with a good grasp of current market trends and how they might effect our sale and/or the potential price point we should present at. Well, your attention to detail and subsequent analysis was enough to make me decide on the spot there was no room for more information from anyone else. Suggesting the use of a Home Staging company to assist in our sale, was something we had thought of but not too seriously. You convinced us it was a good investment, either helping us reach a top end price or at the very least a much quicker sale.
Hours after our home went on MLS we had our first offer and one which we subsequently accepted. All viewers the rest of the week came in knowing of the offer and all of them stated how much they loved our home. The staging was the WOW factor. It left no doubt in our minds that we had made a great choice in both the Realtor and the Home Stagers you suggested.
Both Glenna and I still talk of our outstanding good fortune, how in a very slow Seller's market we met you and now look around at the myriad of "For Sale" signs we see everywhere....while ours says SOLD. Very, very comforting. Thank you for your professionalism.

I first met Ken and Jamie when they presented a free seminar at the Vancouver Public Library for home sellers. Their presentation of two and one half hours included valuable information such as market conditions – past, present, and trends; the legalities involved; and the responsibilities and roles of realtor and vendor. A segment was included on home preparation do’s and don’ts, and on the benefits of staging. Prior to this seminar, I had been considering trying to sell my home myself. Upon becoming aware of all the necessities involved, I decided to save myself the stress of a role which I was not experienced in. I interviewed realtors from three different companies. Of these three, Ken and Jamie stood out as they offered a realistic appraisal of my prospects in terms of timing, current sales trends, and the likely best pricing of my home. They highly recommended “staging” as a means for a faster sale and I ultimately decided to use the professional expertise of Celebrate Showhomes. The sales process itself progressed very quickly. On-line advertising with pictures, followed by a realtors’ Open House, two public Open Houses and several private showings resulted in an offer eight days after the ad came out. Expert negotiation by Ken resulted in an offer acceptable to both sides 24 hours later. Throughout all of this, I appreciated Ken’s and Jamie’s attention to detail, their consultations with me, and best of all their enthusiasm and professional expertise. Clearly Explained All Of Our Options And Then Let Us Make The Call!

 

After living in our family home for over 42 years, the time came for us to downsize. My husband and I were stumped in how to begin to sell our home. But we had recently received a flyer inviting prospective sellers to a seminar about how to do just that. It was at this seminar that we met  Ken Chouinard and Jamie Hooper. At this first meeting we were impressed with Jamie’s personable manner. He listened carefully to our plans of when to sell and where we wanted to relocate. Ken’s quiet professional manner reassured us that together, this team would help us make the transition. Over the next few weeks, both  Ken and Jamie assisted us with locating stagers, and a team of others to help present our home for a quick sale. They were very responsive to the many calls we made (and we made a lot as we were so unsure of what we were undertaking). They were available to take us to many viewings, whenever it suited us, and were very respectful of the timing of bringing in potential buyers to our home. We valued their guidance in setting the price and they were very meticulous in reviewing the comparable listings in the area and then advising us when offers came in. At no time did we feel pressured to do what they wanted; rather they always presented all the options to us and let us make the call. We felt at ease with them and were very appreciative of their assistance during the sale of our home. But perhaps the most remarkable testament to their dedication was later, after we were settled into our new home, Ken and Jamie continued to contact us, to make sure we were settled in and enjoying our new home. Selling Our Home Did Not Work Out Very Well – Until We Met Ken and Jamie!

 

Last year we had our Kerrisdale condo for sale with another Vancouver Westside agent for 4 long months… we had few showings and it did not sell. We were frustrated and didn't understand why it did not sell. After talking it over, we decided to get the opinion of another Realtor. This is when we met Jamie Hooper and Ken Chouinard of RE/MAX. Recently we were privileged to use the services of Ken and Jane in the selling of our home at 164 Woodland Dr, in Tsawwassen. Here’s What Actual People Who Got The Report Have Said About Us…

 

Back in May, 2011, we put our town house at UBC for sale expecting for a quick sale as the market was quite brisk then. As days turned into months without an offer, we began to have doubts if we had been over-confident about the market trend. Our realtor kept reassuring us that our house would be sold over the summer, but we decided to try another realtor hoping for a quick wind up of this sale as promised. Contrary to what we had expected, and despite many reassurances that the sale would come through over the summer, we did not even get an offer by the end of August. We were very disappointed and could not get over the reasons for our house not selling. Finally, by mid October, we finally had an offer coming at a price far lower than what we hoped for. But considering the circumstances, we agreed to it thinking that the sale would be finally over. Just three days after the Contract was signed, the realtor called us that the clients had changed their mind and would not proceed with the deal. It was at this point that Jamie and Ken came to our rescue from a letter in the mailbox. We called them up for an appointment to look at the house. It was followed by a meeting at their office when they gave us a detailed and professional presentation of our house with respect to the current market. The file they prepared was neatly done and very comprehensive. Ken and Jamie gave us thorough analyses of the market and provided us with strategies in regards to pricing and home showing. They also suggested that we staged our house in order to highlight the strengths of the interior. Although we had some hold-back for the idea of staging a house, we decided to give it a try to see how it would work for the sale after all these disappointing months. By the third week of November, we finally got an offer after a couple of weekend "open house" showings. When the conditions were removed, it became the best Christmas gift for us in 2011 and we were thrilled. Looking back, we think it was the combination of expertise of our realtors and the outstanding staging that really help to clinch the sale. We would recommend the professional service of Ken Chouniard and Jamie Hooper of REIMAX to any prospective home sellers or buyers. Sometimes we think we would have avoided much hassles and worries had we met up with them earlier because when it comes to buying or selling a house, it'd be better to leave it to the real professionals.
